How To Not Look Like Spam
-Don't heavily promote on a social network until you build trust by members by talking to them about other things first.

-Get lots of friends before promoting. Try these sites: MsGeekz.com - ExtremeAdds.com - ZOMGAddz.com

-Gradually talk to them about WhatScene after you've bult trust (ask them if they have one so that you can add them or say "if you do add me")

-Personalize the profile or flyer (put your states name on it)

-Add a real picture as the default of a profile (signs would be great)

-Update the profile often

-Check for updates often

-Reply to comments and messages

-Add signs to your picture album and even your profile

-Thank people for adding you and comment their profile, ask them how they're doing, or comment music if they're a music artist.

-Don't Promote in social network site forums unless you don't care or you know what ur doing. You will get banned.

-Leave picture comments

-Try to put as many Street Team members on your top friends as possible.

-Don't post a lot of comments or bulletins just saying "Check Out WhatScene" over and over. say "join the street team", maybe, here and there. or "Bands find your fans"

-Use things like "lol" "roflmao" "jk" ";)" "=)" "ur"


Promoting

-Write WhatScene.com or related things on cars

-Write WhatScene.com on bookbags, notebooks, binders, and etc...

-Go to local events (concerts and etc...) and hand out flyers (flyers available on WS Street Team page)

-Walk around town and stores hanging up or passing out flyers

-Make a Street Team profile on a social networking site (myspace and etc...) for your state if there isn't one already

-Join target market forums and talk to people then ask them to join WhatScene (see "HowToNotLookLikeSpam" on the Street Team page)

-Buy from the WhatScene shop and wear your merchandise in public.
